Loving Kindness // Metta

During Metta Meditation we begin learning to love ourselves, and, unless we have a measure of this unconditional love and acceptance toward ourselves, it is often difficult to extend love to others.

As we continue to practise we expand our field of awareness, to include not only ourselves but those that we love, those are neutral to us, those that we find difficult and challenging and ultimately all living beings. Metta Meditation is cultivating love without conditions.
